As Happy as I Choose to Be

I'm a featured scrapbooker on BPS - How cool is that?!?!?!?!

Wow!  Got the email late Friday that the Featured Students part of their website would be up and running by end of weekend...and guess who the first featured student is?  ME!!!!!  Can't believe it!  (Also - can't believe the answers I provided to the profile questionnaire they asked me to complete.)  I've never submitted any pages to the scrapbook magazines to publish though that would be a thrill, so this is so amazing that they picked me out of all the students who've taken their online classes as one of their featured students.....Wheee!!!!! (as one of the layouts I submitted says or should I say "Wowie! Wow! Wow!" as Junie B. Jones says...a phrase any gradeschool parent probably knows).  I also had to pick "3 layouts I love".  How tough is that?  I sweated that...do I pick out ones that have meaningful journaling or even just quirky, funny Bailee stories or do I just pick some beautiful/fun layouts that I simply like?  I went with the latter.  Kind of funny really, since most of my layouts tell a story, but who cares...basically I picked layouts I love...guess those instructions weren't so tough afterall.  Here's link to featured students page.

Tonight at dinner:

Bailee:  Did you know cats have a sense of humor?

Me: Oh yeah?  Is that their 6th sense? (No, she didn't get that...only I thought that was funny.)

Bailee: Yes.  Only you can't hear them laugh.

Me:  What makes them laugh?

Bailee:  Knock Knock jokes

Bailee seems obsessed by me dating lately.  Not that I've had one...but that I should.  She asks if I'll wear high heels.  She seems obsessed with those too.  Even got back out some of her "clomp clomp" shoes (those little girl plastic princess shoes...I call them Clomp Clomp shoes due to the horrible sound they make on tile or hardwood floors) and she puts them on with her pajamas or shorts at night.  So at lunch yesterday she drew a picture of me on a date.  I did get a choice of "Do you want to wear a marrying dress or a dating dress?"  I chose dating since I didn't even know the guy yet...I figure the marrying dress might scare him off.  I love my green dress, green earrings and green legs.  Green IS my favorite color after all.  Plus I have fantastic eyelashes in her world.  Though I resent she doesn't include the blonde highlights I pay so much for.  I do like his haircut...obviously military.  or maybe punk?  Don't know.  Too bad about his bad manners - putting his legs (with no feet) on the table but he has a nice smile.  And the heart?  She tell me that he gave me a kiss on the cheek.  Obviously a gentleman!

Yea - got some scrapbooking done over the weekend.  not for me (bummer) but did a small 8X8 book for her teacher.  Turned out pretty darn cute and didn't take forever...teach me to keep it simple.
