It was a pretty wonderful Mother's Day...and it started a day early. We were taking care of Katie for my sister, Lisa, for part of the weekend and Bailee and Katie decided to make me breakfast in bed. Granted, I was still cleaning up the kitchen 2 days later...but how sweet. Fresh squeezed orange juice, pancakes (no syrup), scrambled eggs (no salt) and a bouquet of flowers cut from our yard. And just the night before, I had taken Bailee to the mall so she could go shopping for me a present...with her own money. The people in the Pandora store were so sweet. Helping her with her money, wrapping it so lovely. She knew just what she wanted to get me. A snake charm for my bracelet - since she was born in the year of the snake. Sweet!
I'm a bit (a lot) late with Mom's Mother's Day present. a photo book with photos I've taken of her garden over the last 8 years or so. Such a beautiful yard...and she's still actively working it herself...at the age of 87. Unbelievable! We should all be so spry and fit and sharp at that age...(or any age).
